Machines at Work automates existing machinery – helping address some of the biggest challenges faced by growers today

Bring the future to your orchard.

The solution we’re developing can be installed on your tractor or other machine, enabling it to self-drive so that tasks like spraying can be performed without an operator.

Unlock the benefits of automation with Machines at Work. Boost productivity and discover the reassurance of jobs done right every time.

Higher productivity is just the beginning.

People doing higher value work

Get workers out of the driver’s seat, away from chemicals and repetitive tasks, and onto work that helps grow the business.

Tasks done right, every time

No crop damage, no missed rows or double-ups, and perfect recall of what’s been done.

Operate day and night

When the weather forecast is deteriorating, operate 24 hours a day to get the job done, without overtime costs.

Automation gives you time back to focus on growing your business.

Simple.

Installed and supported locally

We’re in the business of making the complex, simple. We’ll handle the installation, setup, and training, and provide ongoing support to help you maximise the value of automation.

Because our responsibility doesn’t stop at the factory floor, Machines at Work will proactively monitor all installed systems, ensuring they are performing correctly at all times.

Intelligent.

Self-driving, built for orchards

Machines at Work is creating a system that works with a wide range of existing machinery: from tractors big and small, with hydraulic, electric, or fully manual controls, to zero-turns and side-by-sides.

Our solution uses sensors to self-drive up and down rows and turn at the headlands, and is able to follow the existing laneways to self-drive between orchard blocks.

We can integrate with spray controllers and other systems, enabling tasks to be performed with high precision.

Safe.

Automation designed for safety

Responsible transformation through safety-centric technology. It might be a mouthful, but it sits right at the heart of our values.

Machines at Work is committed to delivering safe machine automation technology. We design and build safety into our products from the ground-up.

And we will work with you to embed practices that keep your staff and property safe.

Our innovative technology.

Our innovative technology.

We use advanced vision sensors, paired with state of the art software. These work together to track and avoid potential obstacles in real-time, and will eventually enable analysis of orchard conditions.

Our roots.

Machines at Work is developing technology that automates existing orchard machinery – helping address some of the biggest challenges faced by the horticulture sector today

Recognising the potential for robotics in horticulture, Machines at Work spent over a year working with local orchards to understand their operations. We saw an opportunity to help growers by making automation accessible: using existing equipment, working in partnership, and providing a fully supported service so that growers can get the job done without worrying about the underlying technology. This pragmatic approach is central to how to we operate, and we think it’s a winning formula.

Growers need a safe, intelligent, self-driving system to cope with the complexity of orchard operations and free up valuable human resource. This level of autonomy is transformative and is being crafted responsibly with safety front-and-centre. Machines at Work tackles these types of hard problems head-on.
